Kelvinside Manor, opening December 2024, located in the prestigious West End of Glasgow, is a luxurious care home offering top-tier nursing, dementia, and respite care. Your role as a Meallmore Head Chef will include: Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of our residents. Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and overseeing their performance. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Order and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment. Monitor and control food costs while maintaining highquality standards. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless food service and resident satisfaction. Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience. Skills and Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements and food allergies is desirable Strong culinary skills and creativity to prepare appetizing meals.
