The Vacancy

Are you an experienced compliance professional with a strong track record in safety, quality and delivering high standards in housing maintenance? We’re looking for a knowledgeable and results-driven Asset Compliance Manager to join our team at NCHA.

About The Role

As the Asset Compliance Manager, you’ll ensure that all regulatory requirements are met across key safety areas such as gas, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos and fire safety, contracts are effectively managed and high standards of safety and compliance are maintained across NCHA’s housing stock. You’ll lead investigations, manage high-value contracts and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, contractors and service providers. This role requires leadership, technical knowledge and a focus on delivering reliable, customer-focused services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee statutory compliance across all M&E disciplines including LOLER, asbestos, CDM, and fire safety
  • Lead and deliver complex maintenance programmes on time and within budget
  • Manage contractor performance and procurement, setting KPIs and ensuring accountability
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Monitor compliance data, produce reports and respond to incidents with robust action plans
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation and customer involvement in service delivery
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team that reflects the values of NCHA.

What We’re Looking For

Our next Compliance Asset Manager will be a knowledgeable and experienced professional with the necessary qualifications and extensive experience in a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) or fire safety maintenance environment. You’ll have a strong understanding of compliance regulations and substantial experience working within the housing or construction sectors. You should be confident in managing complex programmes, procurement and contractor performance as well as planning and monitoring budgets. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, as we have locations throughout the East Midlands.

This role is Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week – we support a hybrid working model between home and our new office in Clifton.
