I am looking for a talented Junior Data Scientist to join our client based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This is a global manufacturing business and within here you will play a crucial role in analysing trading data, customer behaviour, pricing strategies, and margins to drive business improvements and enhance commercial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing trading data, including customer, SKU, price, and margin data, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analysing discount data to identify areas for improvement and to optimise discount strategies.
  • Utilising cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence tools to enhance data analytics processes.
  • Presenting findings and insights in a clear, concise, and coherent manner to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
  • Conducting ongoing measurement and performance tracking of commercial performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based in Trafford Park Business Centre and is an on-site position, paying up to £30,000 per annum and also comes with a wealth of benefits. Please apply if you are interested.
