At Eni, we are looking for a Trading Analyst within Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London, UK. You will work under the supervision of senior team members and contribute to the development and execution of the Global Crude Trading team’s strategy within ETB. This role offers unparalleled exposure to the full commodity trading lifecycle - both physical and financial - through close collaboration with our Front Office, Risk, Finance, Back Office and various business units. Our team is also involved in marketing Eni’s oil equity productions, sourcing hydrocarbons and bio feedstocks, and managing the output of our traditional and green refineries.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide support to traders: Analyse market data to assist in trade development and execution. Enter data for cargo purchases and sales, hedges, freight and logistics costs, purchase and sales prices and other transaction-related costs. Maintain and enhance the “cargo tracking” Excel sheet (including vessel B/L, destination, WS rate, etc.). Coordinate with Middle Office for P&L reconciliation.
- Prepare reports, calculations and research: Conduct market analysis (supply and demand, global arbitrage, margins). Produce internal reports on trading activity. Perform arbitrage and crack spread calculations. Monitor refinery turnarounds.
- Additional responsibilities may include: Assist with risk management and market monitoring under trader guidance. Liaise with crude traders in Houston and Singapore, as well as product trading desks. Collaborate with the Shipping, Chartering, and Operations departments.
Skills and experience required:
- University degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or IT).
