Axis has experienced continual growth since its establishment in 1986. We work with some of the UKβs largest building owners, landlords & facility managers to provide strategic building repairs, planned maintenance and improvement across all property sectors.

The Role
The Head of Talent and Early Careers is responsible for designing and executing talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees. With a particular focus on early careers pipelines, this role ensures the organisation has the right talent to meet future workforce needs.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Governance - Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition and retention strategy aligned with business goals and lead Early careers programme.
- Operational Excellence - Talent Pipeline Management & Early Careers Strategy: Ensure a steady supply of high-potential candidates and oversee EC strategy.
- Financial Accountability - Budget Management: Manage the talent acquisition budget, ensuring cost-effective hiring practices.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Candidate & community engagement: Enhance engagement through AI-driven recruitment tools and partner with the Social Value Team to coordinate talent initiatives.
- People & Team Development - Build and mentor a high-performing talent and early careers team.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement - AI & Data-Driven Hiring: Utilise AI to improve recruitment insights, reduce bias, and enhance hiring decisions.
Requirements
- Proven track record in leading talent acquisition and early careers programmes within a complex organisation.
- Experience in designing and implementing diversity and inclusion hiring strategies.
- Demonstrated success in developing employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
- Experience managing hiring budgets and measuring recruitment ROI.
