Join TransPennine Express as an Operations Interface Delivery Manager. TransPennine Express is delivering transformative rail upgrades in the North, and we’re seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Interface Delivery Manager to join our Major Projects Directorate. This role is key to enabling the safe delivery of infrastructure change within the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU).
As a subject matter expert in railway operations, you’ll provide guidance on new train operations, driveability, signal sighting, and operational risk. You will help design and validate operational training and documentation, oversee station readiness, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the safe and timely delivery of infrastructure changes across the TRU programme
- Provide expert input on operational elements such as new train integration, signal sighting, and route learning
- Create training materials, route risk assessments, and validation documents
- Represent TPE in internal and external working groups related to operations and stations
- Ensure all changes meet safety and operational standards within rail industry compliance
- Holds current or former driver competence (TPE traction and network experience highly desirable)
- In-depth understanding of railway operations and infrastructure change
- Proven ability to lead safety and operational transformation projects
- Skilled communicator with a passion for engagement, training, and standards
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change within a rail environment
