We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual who will play a crucial role in realising the department’s strategic objectives. You will be an inspiring lecturer with a background in delivering Vocational Business and the ability to deliver varied, high quality and imaginative sessions and have a record of good achievement rates. You will be teaching across a range of units on the BTEC Level 2 and 3 curriculum, ranging from finance, branding, visual merchandising, team building and many others. We are also excited to be delivering the T-Level in Business Management and Administration from September 2023.
Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer who has a proven record of innovation and a pro-active approach to delivery including to Level 2 and the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business. You will have also demonstrated an understanding and sensitivity towards the needs of your learners and use this to help them reach their true potential.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- To deliver high quality teaching on Business across the full range of the department’s provision. This may involve remote teaching, learning and assessment, via appropriate platforms when required.
- Play an active role in the marketing of the College and the Department through such activities as open days and through liaison with local employers and schools.
- Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
Required Skills And Experience
- Holds a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Has an appropriate teaching qualification, support given with this if required
- Ideally has relevant teaching experience at Business Level 3 Extended Diploma within the FE sector
- Is an effective communicator and has good organisational skills.
- Understanding of law and legal services within the business sector is advantageous.
