We’re working with a world-leading defence company seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Navigation Sensors team. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical expertise to the development of some of the most advanced missile systems in the world, within a supportive and high-performing team.

The Role – Systems Engineer (Navigation Sensors)

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll support the specification, assessment, and integration of key navigation sensor technologies, including GNSS receivers, anti-jam units, and inertial measurement units. You’ll contribute to a wide range of activities including technology road mapping, supplier evaluation, equipment trials, and international research programmes. The role is varied, challenging, and offers real scope for growth and development. This team has strong links with counterparts in France, offering international collaboration and occasional travel opportunities.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
  • Background in defence or aerospace
  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Navigation systems
  • Avionics
  • RF engineering
  • Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB or Simulink (desirable)
  • An understanding of:
    • GNSS technology and multi-constellation integration
    • Anti-jam systems and CRPA antennas
    • GNSS jamming/spoofing vulnerabilities
    • Inertial sensors and characterisation
  • Project delivery and commercial awareness is a bonus
