A prominent force in the consumer goods sector is launching a significant capital transformation programme and is seeking a high-impact Procurement Manager to help lead this journey. This newly created and strategically important role will take ownership of all Capex procurement activity across multiple UK manufacturing sites. It presents a rare opportunity to shape and deliver sourcing strategy across a wide-ranging portfolio of complex, high-value projects - from specialised equipment and civil works to critical support services. With strong visibility and autonomy, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders at every level, from operational teams to senior leadership, driving a step-change in procurement capability, commercial value, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead sourcing and procurement for capital projects: machinery, engineering services, and civil works
- Drive end-to-end project delivery across multiple UK sites
- Shape and implement procurement strategy aligned with broader capital investment goals
- Support a wider transformation programme focused on enhancing procurement governance, controls, and efficiency
- Develop tools, frameworks, and supplier strategies to optimise spend
- Build trusted relationships across engineering, operations, finance, and senior leadership
- Champion cross-functional collaboration and influence key decisions
- Extensive capital procurement experience in FMCG, food, drink, or pharma
- Track record in (CAPEX) sourcing equipment, civil works, and technical services
- Experience with MRO procurement is advantageous
- Comfortable operating autonomously and navigating change
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and confident working across multiple workstreams
- Driven to grow into a future procurement leadership role
