An established UK-based environmental services provider is seeking a Group Environmental Compliance Manager to lead its environmental governance across national operations. This home-based role offers the opportunity to work at a strategic level while delivering meaningful on-the-ground impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental legislation and standards, shaping policy, leading audits and inspections, and guiding teams across multiple sites. With regular travel across the UK, this is a visible and influential role that works closely with senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and operational teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in environmental science, engineering or a related field, along with significant experience in a senior compliance role. A deep understanding of hazardous waste, environmental permitting and ISO 14001 is essential, as is the ability to effectively communicate and influence at board level. Chartered status as a Waste Manager, or a clear path toward it, will be viewed favourably.
This is a key leadership role within the compliance function, offering the chance to shape and implement best practices across a diverse and dynamic organisation. The role includes responsibility for leading a small team and advising stakeholders at all levels.
