Toolmaker

Our clientdesign and manufacture precision forged and machined components andare currently recruiting for a Toolmaker to join their team. As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for manufacturing all tooling to engineering drawings within tight tolerances. Hours of work are Days (Monday to Friday) Pay rate £15.00 – £18.00 per hour plus competitive benefits package. Reporting directly to the Toolroom Supervisor , your key responsibilities will include: Manufacture of extrusion, mould and finish dies from raw materials Manufacture single stage clip tools Surface grinding Manual milling Manual turning Polishing to high spec finish Bench Work Service and repair tooling (PPM) Breakdowns To be successful in the role of a Toolmaker you will hold the following skills and experience; Experienced toolmaker with at least 5 years experience in a toolroom Experience within a hot metal, heavy manufacturing environment Foundation understanding of material science and metallurgy Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings Strong understanding of measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges etc. Good communicator and a \”can do\” attitude\” An attention to detail and able to work meticulously If you arelooking for a new exciting and varied opportunity, then please Submit your CV and we will be in touch TPBN1_UKTJ
