Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will lead teams to resolve customer issues and achieve financial and contractual objectives to required timescales. As well as program execution to achieve the business financial commitments, there will be the opportunity to play a key part in commercial negotiations with the customer to deliver products and services for both civil and military platforms. Job Description Summary As a key member of the Original Equipment Manufacturing Product Value stream, you will integrate and lead the execution of the assigned program for Dowty Propellers. Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will lead teams to resolve customer issues and achieve financial and contractual objectives to required timescales. As well as program execution to achieve the business financial commitments, there will be the opportunity to play a key part in commercial negotiations with the customer to deliver products and services for both civil and military platforms. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities All contract performance related activities, tied to customer or program. Perform as interface between the customer and the internal business team at varying levels of seniority, assuring timely resolution of issues, keeping the customer advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes or solutions to issues. Responsible for adherence to business financial budget, working with supply chain to ensure we compliantly deliver on plan to meet our financial objectives. Lead and manage the Integrated Project Team (IPT) to ensure close collaboration across the functions to ensure timely progress and outcomes, using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) where appropriate. Co-ordinate the relevant business functions to ensure timely responses to customer solicitations using sound commercial judgement and strategy to secure favorable commercial agreements for the business. Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work, in particular MRO services and aftermarket of aerospace products and services. Accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area. Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. Collaborates with others to solve issues. Customer facing role, develops customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding. Required Qualifications Experience of owning and delivering financial performance, ideally in a product delivery, manufacturing environment or digital services to aftermarket. Demonstrable experience in a customer facing Product Management and/or Program Management role. Experience of working in aerospace industry or other relevant industry. Experience of leading cross functional teams in a customer facing role. Desired Characteristics Experience of leading or participating in commercial proposals and negotiations. Experience and/or qualifications in lean methodologies and problem solving. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
