Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Group Quality Manager to oversee and strengthen regulatory compliance, service quality, and continuous improvement across our homes regulated by both CQC (Care Quality Commission) and Ofsted. You will lead our quality and compliance framework, ensuring we deliver outstanding care and meet or exceed all statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate internal audits and quality reviews across services.
- Ensure services consistently meet or exceed CQC and Ofsted standards.
- Monitor compliance with key legislation, guidance, and best practice.
- Develop and update quality policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Support services through CQC and Ofsted inspections, including readiness reviews and post-inspection action plans.
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain oversight of incident management, complaints, safeguarding, and improvement plans.
- Analyse service performance data, trends, and KPIs to inform strategic improvements.
- Produce regular quality and compliance reports for senior leadership and the board.
Leadership & Support
- Provide expert guidance and training to home managers and staff on regulatory expectations.
- Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and learning.
- Collaborate with the safeguarding lead, clinical leads, and operations teams to embed quality at all levels.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a quality or compliance leadership role within health or social care.
- Strong knowledge of both CQC and Ofsted regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, governance, and risk management.
- Ability to interpret legislation, guidance, and inspection outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Experience working in therapeutic residential care or with young adults.
- Qualification in Health & Social Care, Quality Management, or equivalent.
- Experience leading service improvement plans and audits.
