As a Junior Garment Technologist, you’ll support the technical development of our clients collections from concept through to final production. You’ll be responsible for ensuring fit, quality, and construction meet our brand standards across all styles. This role requires hands-on experience with fittings, spec sheets, and working closely with factories and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development of garment specs and technical packs (Tech Packs)
- Attend fit sessions and record detailed fit comments and amendments
- Measure samples and ensure sizing is consistent across ranges
- Work with design and production teams to ensure products meet aesthetic and technical requirements
- Liaise with factories and suppliers to communicate technical adjustments and approvals
- Conduct quality checks on incoming samples and production runs
- Help manage critical path timelines and ensure sample deadlines are met
- Maintain organised records of all sample developments, fittings, and approvals
- Support with fabric testing, wash care, and compliance documentation as needed
- Ensure consistency of construction, fit, and quality across all product categories
- 2-3 experience as an Assistant Garment Technologist or in a similar technical role within fashion
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting, and fit across woven and jersey products
- Experience attending and documenting fit sessions
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal teams and external suppliers
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple styles across various timelines
