System Architect

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated System Architect to join our team in York within the retail industry. This role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 and is ideal for someone who is passionate about building robust systems architecture and thrives in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable architectures that align with business goals, ensuring that technical solutions are fit-for-purpose and adaptable to evolving requirements.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, translating complex business information into clear and actionable technical requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential, as you will play a pivotal role in guiding development teams and shaping the future direction of technology within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Azure, with demonstrable experience in building and designing architecture within cloud environments. While previous experience in the retail sector is highly desirable, we are open to candidates from a broad range of backgrounds who can bring fresh perspectives and innovative thinking.

Key requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture
