Job Description:
Senior Functional Safety Engineer - Vehicle Motion
Location: Leamington Spa
Contract: initially 6 months, Outside IR35
Work pattern: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Deliver ISO 26262:2018 work products related to Vehicle Motion, including Chassis and Powertrain.
- Maintain all ISO 26262:2018 Work Products for assigned Items, including Item Definition, HARAs, Functional Safety Concepts, and Requirements.
- Develop and execute Integration, Verification, and Validation test specifications.
- Develop all planned ISO 26262:2018 work products up to the Item Safety Case.
- Conduct technical discussions with suppliers and partners.
- Coordinate multi-party activities for synchronized delivery and testing.
- Implement mitigation strategies and build a network of experts for complex issues.
Nice to Have:
- Masters in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in functional safety within chassis and/or electrical powertrain domains.
- Experience creating ISO 26262:2018 Parts 3 and 4 work products.
- Experience in Integration, Verification of FSRs, and Safety Goal Validation.
- Experience managing suppliers per a Development Interface Agreement.
- Articulate, self-motivated, approachable, and eager to learn.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude.
