We have a vacancy within our Day Nursery for a part time (all year round) chef, working 30 hours a week (8.30am until 2.30pm, Mon – Fri). Contract to include annual leave.

Candidates must be able to plan and organise a broad variety of healthy meals, have expereince running/ maintaining a kitchen and preferably hold a level 2 Food Hygiene certificate – althoughnot essential as training can be provided. They must also be prepared to:

  • Work with nutritional guidelines and cook from fresh daily

  • Adhere to all dietary requirements

  • Undertake the cleaning of the kitchen area and it’s equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety are consistently maintained

  • Complete records of cleaning and temperature control checks in accordance to official guidelines

  • Liaise with Environmental Health during inspections

  • Organise and maintain all stored foods and cleaning products

  • Take charge of all weekly catering orders
