A well-respected, award-winning M&E Contractor focusing on delivering Critical Infrastructure Projects across various sectors is currently seeking an ambitious and driven Mechanical Lead for a high-profile Data Centre project in Europe. You will be working for an innovative, forward-thinking contractor that operates a diverse business model. With the order book full until 2024, there is excellent scope for a credible Mechanical Lead to play a pivotal role in helping the growth and expansion of the business over the coming years. Mechanical Lead Responsibilities:

  • Management of Site QA, specifically regarding the Mechanical package including setup, management, and closeout of files.
  • Management of all costs associated with your package.
  • Management of all day-to-day site operations.
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Ensure a weekly meeting with sub-contractors.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Coordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
  • Issue weekly safety statistics & project labour projections.
  • Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are captured and costs are issued to the client.

Mechanical Lead Key Requirements:

  • A trade qualification and/or relevant third-level qualification.
  • Several years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects.
  • Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
  • Experience in design and build projects.
  • Good technical knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical systems.
