The Opportunity

We are fast becoming one of the UK’s top NAVs and to facilitate this Company growth, we are now recruiting for a Water Project Manager to work within our NAV sector. This role will oversee the safe and compliant installation of water infrastructure for new residential and commercial developments. You will be working alongside the UK’s top developers, and their self-lay providers, providing support from the early design concepts through to delivery and completion of their schemes. As an added bonus, you will be home based and in charge of your own diary. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the utilities sector as well as being innovative and keen to support with effective business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management and Coordination
  • Oversee the safe, compliant installation of Leep Water infrastructure in line with Water Regulations, Industry and Safety Standards.
  • Take ownership of projects once passed from Business Development to Delivery, ensuring smooth handover and effective execution.
  • Manage project snagging works to satisfactory completion standards.
  • Ensure relevant works align with Construction Programmes and provide regular updates where necessary.
  • Regular monthly meetings with the Senior Water Project Manager to discuss ongoing schemes, updates, and address potential issues or delays.
  • Process Implementation and Regulatory Compliance
    • Implement the NAV water process for both Delivery and Regulation departments, including management of Water Adoption Agreements (Self Lay Agreements).
    • Ensure SLP/ICP designs adhere to Water Industry Regulations to facilitate full design approval by company-appointed design consultants.
    • Review design variations and assist where necessary.
    • Complete regular Risk Assessments and POWRAs in line with Company policies.
    • Collate all relevant regulatory documentation from clients, such as REG 5, Water Efficiency, Water Adoption Agreements, New Connection Agreements, Vesting Certificates, Plot to Postal, etc.
  • Stakeholder and Quality Assurance
    • Consult with Business Development Managers during project handover.
    • Function as the first point of escalation for ICP/SLP partners and customers.
    • Provide guidance and advice to SLPs, ICPs, Developers, and their contractors throughout the duration of the project.
    • Check that contractors carry the relevant accreditations (e.g., WIRS) to conduct the works.
  • Site Supervision and Quality Assurance
    • Arrange regular site visits to audit and document infrastructure installation works, ensuring compliance with all relevant water utility legislation.
    • Attend all commissioning works on site to advise and document any issues.
    • Manage procurement of meters and ensure timely meter installation in line with future connection schedules.
  • Reporting and Asset Handover
    • Produce regular progress reports and updates for each project to submit to Leep's Operations Team.
    • Work with the Asset Management department to ensure new assets are handed over in a timely manner, with all required data.

    • Knowledge and experience of working in the clean water industry
    • Knowledge and experience of working with DNO’s / IDNO’s and Self Lay Providers
    • Knowledge of the NAV industry
    • Knowledge and experience of the Water Design Process
    • Understanding of water regulatory standards and the compliance process
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
