NES Fircroft is supporting one of their O&G clients in Great Yarmouth with a Logistics Co-ordinator role. This is a permanent position focused on shipping logistics. We are seeking an individual with extensive knowledge in import/export & dangerous goods.
Key responsibilities:
- Creation of despatch notes for equipment dispatched
- Preparation of import commercial invoices & clearance instructions
- Preparation of export commercial invoices, dispatch notes, cargo summary tickets
- Liaising with freight forwarders for quotations and efficient shipping of subsea equipment worldwide
- Obtaining export and import entries to complete logistical files for audit compliance
- Providing logistical guidance to on-site parties and identifying shipping methods
- Coordinating with Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure import/export accuracy and compliance
- Communicating with global colleagues regarding shipments and document control
- Managing import, export, and domestic documentation to meet record-keeping standards
- Validating all freight invoices
- Supporting internal Import/Export audits as needed
- Participating in the out-of-hours rota
- Creating Purchase Orders for freight invoices
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Export Licence controls
- Understanding of import regimes (e.g., IPR, RGR, Duty Paid)
- Understanding shipping practices and handling methods
- Familiarity with Customs Procedure Codes
- Knowledge of goods classification
- Experience with Dangerous Goods IATA & IMDG
- Understanding of COSHH and hazardous materials handling
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS
- Proven track record in international logistics for exports/imports
