NES Fircroft is supporting one of their O&G clients in Great Yarmouth with a Logistics Co-ordinator role. This is a permanent position focused on shipping logistics. We are seeking an individual with extensive knowledge in import/export & dangerous goods.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creation of despatch notes for equipment dispatched
  • Preparation of import commercial invoices & clearance instructions
  • Preparation of export commercial invoices, dispatch notes, cargo summary tickets
  • Liaising with freight forwarders for quotations and efficient shipping of subsea equipment worldwide
  • Obtaining export and import entries to complete logistical files for audit compliance
  • Providing logistical guidance to on-site parties and identifying shipping methods
  • Coordinating with Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure import/export accuracy and compliance
  • Communicating with global colleagues regarding shipments and document control
  • Managing import, export, and domestic documentation to meet record-keeping standards
  • Validating all freight invoices
  • Supporting internal Import/Export audits as needed
  • Participating in the out-of-hours rota
  • Creating Purchase Orders for freight invoices

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Export Licence controls
  • Understanding of import regimes (e.g., IPR, RGR, Duty Paid)
  • Understanding shipping practices and handling methods
  • Familiarity with Customs Procedure Codes
  • Knowledge of goods classification
  • Experience with Dangerous Goods IATA & IMDG
  • Understanding of COSHH and hazardous materials handling
  • Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS
  • Proven track record in international logistics for exports/imports
