Are you an experienced, RIBA-qualified Architect with a passion for sustainability and Passive House design? We have an exciting opportunity for a Certified Passive House Architect to become part of our multi-award-winning, friendly, and collaborative team based in Mid Cornwall. At ARCO2, we specialise in low-energy, sustainable residential architecture, creating bespoke new and replacement homes in some of Cornwall’s most stunning coastal and rural locations.
Our projects are primarily delivered through our award-winning sister company, ADD SC, or the client’s preferred contractor. We’re looking for a like-minded architect who shares our ethical values and deep commitment to environmental sustainability. You’ll bring strong technical expertise, particularly in post-planning stages of Certified Passive House and low-energy residential projects, along with a minimum of five years’ post-Part III experience within a UK practice—essential for detailed knowledge of UK planning and building regulations.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Certified Passive House Designer with certified PHPP experience
- Proven experience in whole-life carbon calculations using PHribbon, WLCA, or AECB Embodied Carbon Calculator
- Competent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with 3D printing desirable
- Demonstrable ability to manage and deliver projects across all RIBA stages
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience building client and stakeholder relationships
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
