Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in offshore brownfield projects to join a leading consultancy in the Middle East. This is an excellent expat opportunity for a mechanical engineer who thrives in a technical design environment and is looking to contribute to major oil and gas developments in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the mechanical design of offshore brownfield modifications across both concept and detailed design phases.
  • Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and design evaluations in alignment with project requirements and international standards.
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline teams, including process, structural, and electrical engineers, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Review and develop mechanical specifications, data sheets, and technical documentation for static and rotating equipment.
  • Engage with vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all engineering outputs comply with client specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards.
  • Support field surveys and offshore site visits as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • Proven track record on offshore brownfield projects, including both conceptual and detailed design stages.
  • Experience working with consultancies or operators.
  • Familiarity with Middle East oil & gas industry standards and working culture is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of international design codes (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
