SEND Teaching Assistant | |Paid Trial Days | South East London | January 2025 Role: SEND Teaching Assistant Start: January 2025 Location: Greenwich, South East London Contract: Full time Rate: £90-100 per day Setting: SEN Primary Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant who is willing to support key stage 3 & 4 pupils who have various SEND. To undertake this amazing SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will be dealing with challenging behaviour and using various reinforcement strategies to provide support pupils within a primary school environment. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a year 3 child who is diagnosed with ADHD you will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student. The ideal candidate: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Requirements: Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity. An understanding of basic SEND principalities DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
