Advert Learning Assistant PEF (Fixed Term) Sheuchan Primary School £9,646.68 – £10,242.43 We are looking to fill a Learning Assistant – Pupil Equity Funding position until July 2025. This post is to assist the school in raising attainment through providing nurture working 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year in Sheuchan Primary School. The successful candidate for this post will be expected to support pupils with a range of additional support needs, including learning needs, medical diagnosis, and social and emotional needs. They will follow the duties as outlined within the job description. The successful candidate will hold qualifications at Standard Grade Level 3 (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and have prior experience of working with children and young people. This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post on a secondment. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
