At Mattioli Woods, we’re inviting motivated individuals to join our July 2025 intake for the Trainee Adviser Academy – an exciting, fully funded 12-month programme that sets you on the path to becoming a qualified Financial Adviser.

This in-house programme offers a structured, supportive environment where you’ll gain valuable industry knowledge, work toward the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and build a strong foundation in wealth management. You’ll learn from some of our most experienced advisers and industry professionals through face-to-face training, mentoring, and real-world advisory experience, with sessions hosted at our Leicester office twice a month.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Up to 3 years’ experience in sales, banking, mortgages, or customer service (required); Up to 2 years’ experience in financial services (desirable)
  • Skills & Qualities: Genuine interest in financial planning and delivering positive client outcomes; Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills; Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels; Commitment to a structured professional development journey; Must hold a full UK driving licence (manual preferred) and pass a DBS check

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Participate in classroom learning led by our in-house training team
  • Complete the R01–R06 exams to earn your Level 4 Diploma
  • Gain practical experience through client meetings and paraplanning tasks
  • Work closely with our Wealth Management Consultants and support teams
  • Attend regular sessions at our Leicester office (twice per month)
  • Build technical knowledge across a wide range of financial topics
  • Complete monthly assignments and assessments throughout the programme
