The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
With full out of office hours responsibility for the entire site and all associated operations including, but not limited to, all health and safety, environmental, technical, operational, sales, logistics & personnel related issues. Responsible (out of hours) for mill wide operational performance, ensuring that output, technical specifications and quality standards are maintained to agreed Production standards.
Act as a Role Model and Change Agent instilling and developing the EREN culture for Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Leading, coaching and mentoring Work Group Leaders in Continuous Improvement methodology and implementation practices. Accountable for ensuring that clear and challenging performance KPI’s & Continuous Improvement targets are adhered to, developed, understood and that targets are achieved across the entire shift.
Leading quality standards ensuring products are delivered on time and to the required customer specification. Accountable for the effective leadership by Work Group Leaders across shift teams, ensuring that the appropriate behaviours aligned to Shotton Mill’s values and culture, are modelled and embedded. Accountable for cultivating a dynamic operational environment ensuring that the team performs to the highest standards at all times. Accountable for the shift team and their adherence to company policies and procedures.
Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree desirable and/or proven experience of a technical role within paper making is essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ previous experience ideally working at a senior/middle level ideally within containerboard/papermaking business with a strong leadership/managerial ability to lead.
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and network at all levels.
- Highly motivated, agile, results driven with the ability to problem solve are essential.
- Experience/understanding of World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure, with a logical, systematic manner.
- Leadership skills with a strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring a team is essential.
- Experience of working in a 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment is essential.
Working Conditions:
The role will entail initially working within a project environment as we construct, commission and start-up the containerboard machine. Following this, you will be expected to work site wide and within a hot, humid and noisy environment.
