Job Description
Principle Mechanical Design Engineer
SALARY – UP TO £60,000!
LOCATION – STEVENAGE

The role:
We are seeking experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to contribute across all stages of the product lifecycle, from future mechanical concepts and detailed design to qualification, production, and in-service support. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced mechanical solutions for complex weapons and weapon systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality outcomes. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth and skill development in a dynamic and innovative environment.
What we want from you:
- Degree, HND, or HNC qualified with experience in mechanical design and development in areas such as mechanisms, structures, assembly and integration, and concept selection and development.
- Ability to lead mechanical design work packages.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams, with an understanding of related challenges.
- Familiarity with proving and qualification activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Robust design experience across the product lifecycle (CADMID).
- Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on preferred CAE tools will be provided).
