We are currently looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Software Developer to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Cambridge area. As the Senior Bioinformatics Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the company's proprietary profiling platform, which supports drug discovery based on clinical data.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop bioinformatics analysis tools and workflows.
- Implement production pipelines in a managed compute environment.
- Optimise and streamline production pipelines and processes to meet industry standards.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve and extend platform capabilities.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven industry experience working with genomic data within a cloud environment.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with writing production-level software in Python or Go.
