As MEICA Project Manager, you will join a team working on various Water and Wastewater projects, including new installations, refurbishments, and upgrades throughout Northern Ireland. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will handle design, bid preparation, equipment specification, site asset surveys, energy efficiency, and project management during construction and commissioning stages. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will provide design and coordination for the MEICA aspects of current projects.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of projects.
- Conducting site asset surveys during scoping and commissioning/handover stages.
- Assisting in mechanical design, specification, equipment orders, and scheduling.
- Liaising with operations and maintenance staff during initial scope and upgrade works.
- Attending design, progress, tender handover, and pre-start meetings.
- Managing risks and performance through effective commercial engagement.
- Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely management of design requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Adhering to Health and Safety and overall project quality objectives.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Degree/HND or equivalent in a related discipline.
- Over 3 years postgraduate experience in the wastewater industry.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, DSEAR, and HAZOP requirements.
- Experience with mechanical specifications and system design drawings.
Desirable skills:
- Good knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 contract conditions and CDM regulations.
