My Walsall based Fabrication company are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
Duties:
- Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel) consisting of platers, fitters, welders, operatives and apprentices.
- Assist in control of consumables.
- Advice and control of tooling / jigs & fixtures.
- Achieving production targets / dates.
- Assist in data / time recording of hours.
- Maintain general cleanliness of areas in clean workshop.
- Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods.
- Planning, assigning, and directing production work.
- Maintaining organization and discipline.
- Monitoring health & safety in the workplace.
- Issuing work / jobs packages.
- Promote and monitor quality awareness.
- Promote teamwork and communication.
- Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents.
- Assist in training new starters / apprentices.
Key Skills:
- Ideally have worked as a Production Supervisor.
- Familiar with Nuclear fabrication work and clean non-ferrous workshop.
