My Walsall based Fabrication company are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

Duties:

  • Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel) consisting of platers, fitters, welders, operatives and apprentices.
  • Assist in control of consumables.
  • Advice and control of tooling / jigs & fixtures.
  • Achieving production targets / dates.
  • Assist in data / time recording of hours.
  • Maintain general cleanliness of areas in clean workshop.
  • Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing production work.
  • Maintaining organization and discipline.
  • Monitoring health & safety in the workplace.
  • Issuing work / jobs packages.
  • Promote and monitor quality awareness.
  • Promote teamwork and communication.
  • Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents.
  • Assist in training new starters / apprentices.

Key Skills:

  • Ideally have worked as a Production Supervisor.
  • Familiar with Nuclear fabrication work and clean non-ferrous workshop.
  • Being able to read & interpret engineering drawings.
