Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join their busy and expanding logistics team based in Bury, North Manchester. With a strong reputation in international logistics, they pride themselves on accuracy, compliance, and above all exceptional customer service.
THE JOB
As an Export Coordinator, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing all necessary documents related to the export of goods. You’ll ensure compliance with international trade regulations and provide critical support to the logistics and operations teams to facilitate smooth and timely shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and export declarations
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure proper handling and compliance
- Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation flow
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations (e.g., International Commercial Terms, U.S. Export Administration Regulations, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and documentation
- Communicate with internal departments (sales, logistics, customer service, and finance) and external partners to resolve documentation issues
- Stay updated on changes in export regulations and trade compliance requirements
THE PERSON
- 2+ years’ experience in export documentation, international logistics, or trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of commercial invoices, customs regulations, and export paperwork requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve documentation discrepancies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP, WMS, and export tracking systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
