The Role: As an experienced IT Business Analyst in the Energy Trading Risk domain, you will contribute to a global transformation programme. Working independently and with a team, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to drive change and efficiency.

  • Essential functions of the job:
  • Business Analysis & Delivery: Plan, deliver, and assure analysis deliverables; manage scope and design; lead requirements gathering; ensure solutions meet design principles and facilitate transitions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships, manage expectations, communicate transparently, and generate innovative solutions.
  • Technical & Coordination: Translate business needs into functional designs; prioritize features; ensure requirements are met before release.
  • Change Management: Participate in backlog grooming; coordinate changes; align with IT projects; secure business sign-off.

Job requirements:

  • Experience modeling energy derivatives, OTC and exchange-traded, including delta 1 derivatives, vanilla and exotic options.
  • Knowledge of financial risk metrics and calculations.
  • Experience in commodities and/or financial markets and trading processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience with ETRM applications and risk modeling software.
  • Exposure to trade lifecycle, valuation, and risk management.
  • Experience managing complex change; delivery in waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies.
