Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa, Shrewsbury, a member of Radisson Individuals and operated by Focus Hotels Management Group, is seeking to recruit a part-time Hotel Revenue Manager to join its team. Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa is an 87-bedroomed countryside retreat located in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The hotel has extensive conference and dining facilities and the Inspirations Leisure Club and Spa.

Role Responsibilities

  • The strategic hotel revenue manager's function is to maximise the revenue throughout this independent white-label hotel, using data analytics and management techniques.
  • The hotel revenue manager will analyse and monitor market trends, competition, and customer demand to optimise pricing strategies and ensure revenue targets are met for all outlets, including conference facilities, leisure, spa, and restaurant.
  • Duties include:
  • Completion, analysis, and distribution of daily and monthly reports.
  • Consistent review of hotel's daily pricing in respect of direct competitors, pace of demand, and other influencing factors.
  • Ensure the hotel maintains and grows RGI % change at a level above that seen within the local competitor set.
  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic action plans to drive hotel revenue performance in conjunction with the senior management team.
  • Work to drive incremental revenue across all streams within the business.
  • Completion of total revenue forecasting in line with Focus processes.
  • Participative in commercial business reviews, budget preparations, and completion of the commercial plan.
  • People / Relationship management.
  • System management.
  • Working with the hotel team to deliver exceptional F&B results from private dining, restaurant, in-room dining, and bar outlets.
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Analyses information, identifying current and potential problems and proposing solutions.
  • Analyses system data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles to achieving revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to promote data capture, hotel membership, and loyalty program enrolment.
  • Manages corporate pricing, displacements, and escalations.
  • Validating conclusions.
  • Takes a predetermined strategy and contributes to the execution of that strategy.
  • Provides critical input to hotel senior leaders.

Profit

  • Assists in the development of commercial goals and strategies, with alignment to the hotel's commercial strategy plan.
  • Executes the strategic commercial plans and works towards hotel KPIs.
  • Demonstrates leadership to revenue-generating departments driving a sales culture throughout the business.
  • Develops strong partnerships with local organisations and each brand.
  • Develop strong community and public relations by ensuring property participation in local, regional, and national tradeshows, exhibitions, networking, and client events.
  • Works collaboratively with the hotel General Manager and the hotel commercial team; Director of Sales, and Hotel Marketing Manager, ensuring fair share is achieved and budgets are met and exceeded.
  • Keeps up to date with regional and industry initiatives.
  • Has a full understanding of the hotel brand values and Radisson Individuals brand values.

RGI

  • Research market intelligence and in conjunction with the Focus central revenue team, evaluates and makes decisions based upon market trends and changes to remain competitive.
  • Research competitors’ sales strategies to identify growth opportunity in TRevPAR to increase market share.
  • Suggests innovative distribution and marketing ideas and proactively develops them to grow share.
  • Reviews the STR Reporting (standard, forecast, and forward STR reports), Lighthouse, Agency 360, and other competitive shopping reports and resources to maintain an awareness of our competitor market positions.
  • Reviewing opportunities to drive increased demand via GDS advertising campaigns.

Quality

  • Identifies the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Analyses information, identifying current and potential problems and proposing solutions.
  • Observes, receives and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources.
  • Submits reports promptly, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Maintains accurate reservation and PMS system information.
  • Analyses system data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles to achieving goals.
  • Generates updates on transient segments each period and continually analyses transient booking patterns.
  • Assists with corporate pricing and displacements.
  • Validating conclusions.

People

  • Direct report to Hotel General Manager, with dotted lines to Focus Senior Central Revenue Manager and Focus Commercial Director.
  • Working with the Hotel Sales and Marketing team to assist in pricing and promotions for all retail outlets within the hotel.
  • Management and leadership of any direct report team members.

Key Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and approach, ability to analyse data and identify trends.
  • Practical working experience in commercial revenue management.
  • Knowledge of revenue management systems, preferably with experience in IDeaS G3/GRO, Opera, hotel booking engines, Amadeus, gift voucher systems, loyalty schemes, and channel management.
  • Advanced ability in Excel.
  • Proficiencies in planning and organising, communication, and influencing.
  • A self-motivated, driven, results-orientated, and proactive attitude is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of all market segments and total sales revenues.
  • Experience working within a white-label independent hotel environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, effective decision-making skills, and problem-solving skills.
