Our client, a leading environmental and engineering consultancy, is expanding its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team and is seeking a motivated Senior EIA Consultant to support the delivery of high-profile projects across the UK. Working within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team, you'll take the lead on delivering and co-ordinating EIAs for a range of complex developments - including major urban regeneration schemes, strategic residential developments, and town centre masterplans.
You'll contribute to the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility studies and environmental management planning to the delivery of final Environmental Statements. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll work closely with clients, planners, design teams, and technical specialists.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day EIA project management for major development and infrastructure projects.
- Act as lead author and editor of Environmental Statements, including non-technical summaries and key chapters.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs from internal and external technical teams.
- Support early-stage feasibility and master planning projects with environmental advice.
- Liaise with local authorities, consultees, and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
- Assist with desk-based research, data collection, and site visits.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing and delivering EIAs on complex UK projects.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Proactive, positive mindset and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
