Data Analytics Project Manager with SAP experience is required by our fast growing global consulting partner. 100% REMOTE WORKING.
Working within Data Services, the successful candidate should have a strong background in managing technical projects related to legacy data platform migration, data lake build, and data analytics across multiple cloud platforms. This role requires excellent project management skills and technical experience to ensure successful delivery of complex data projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage legacy data platform migration (Teradata, Hadoop), data lake build, and data analytics projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise on data migration strategies, data lake architectures, and data analytics solutions.
- Ensure best practices in data management, data integration, and data security are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake experts to leverage cloud capabilities and ensure optimal performance of data solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or requirements.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Essential previous experience must include:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management or technical delivery, specifically in data analytics services, legacy data platform migrations, or data lake projects.
- Strong understanding of data architectures, data integration, and data analytics.
- Experience with SAP systems and SAP HANA.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience migrating on-premise data platforms to Databricks and Snowflake for data engineering and analytics.
- Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
