About the role

Salary Range from £50,240 - £75,360 & Benefits & annual bonus. Work Level – 2. Location – Edinburgh, Permanent, blended working. Office Attendance- Our roles are hybrid. However, you should be able to work from your nearest IMS office 2-3 days per week for this position. Occasional travel to other Tesco offices may also be required. Monday to Friday 09:00 -17:00. 36 hours per week. Closing Date - Applications close 24 June 2025 at 17:00.

Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic Product Owner (PO) to join our Digital Product team. This exciting new role will be responsible for transforming account and policy management and introducing chat/messaging to our existing customers. You’ll report to a Product Manager and collaborate closely with our Product, Design, Analytics, and Technology teams to translate insights into impact. We’re looking for a passionate PO with a proven track record in digital transformation who will bring innovation and take the initiative to drive us forward.

What you’ll be doing

  • Product roadmap: Supporting the development and delivery of our digital servicing product strategy, roadmap and Objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Product discovery: Gathering qualitative and quantitative insights about our market and customer needs. Analysing user behaviour to derive actionable insights and inform decision-making.
  • Customer engagement: Engaging directly with our customers throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring that their needs are built into our digital transformation, product backlogs and releases.
  • Collaboration and communication: Working closely with marketing, product, customer service, and technology teams to align digital changes with overall business objectives.
  • Backlog management: Balancing competing priorities and ensure backlogs are informed by robust feedback loops.
  • Delivering outcomes: Developing and managing business cases for digital initiatives and identifying the actions needed to realise the benefits.
  • Performance management: Managing and reporting on performance against digital OKRs; and ensure the achievement of digital OKRs.

We need you to have

  • Experience: Digital Product Owner experience in a related industry.
  • Supplier management: Experience working with Digital partners, technologies, and tools, demonstrating ability to define and deliver new functionality / capability.
  • Communication skills: Strong ability to communicate analysis, insights and outcomes to a range of audiences across the business.
  • Commercial acumen: Understanding of business objectives and ability to align plans to these.
  • Prioritisation: Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced organisation, prioritising individual and team backlogs on activities that add most value.
  • Customer focus: A relentless focus on developing exceptional digital customer experiences that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Innovative thinking: Ability to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to drive digital transformation.

  • Previous AI, chat/messaging, personalisation experience.
  • Previous Financial Services experience.
  • Insurance and/or Money Services experience.
  • Experience working in an agile change environment.
