We’re supporting a stealth-mode, venture-backed start-up led by a world-class founding team with backgrounds in top-tier tech and academia. The company is tackling a unique challenge at the intersection of machine learning, human behaviour, and mobile-first product development. They’ve assembled an exceptional early team and are now looking to bring in a Machine Learning Full Stack Contractor to help accelerate the next phase of development. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and training new models from scratch for unique, real-world use cases
- Taking a hands-on, theoretical approach to ML—beyond just implementation
- Building and scaling backend infrastructure and APIs (Python, GCP, etc.)
- Working closely with the CEO and founding engineers to iterate rapidly on product
- Helping drive the integration of ML into a Flutter-based product environment
Core Skills:
- Strong theoretical grounding in ML, with proven experience training models from scratch
- Full stack capabilities, ideally with backend experience in Python and frontend knowledge of Flutter
- Experience deploying ML models into production environments (ideally GCP)
- Start-up mindset: you move fast, take ownership, and thrive in ambiguity
- A sharp communicator who works well in lean, ambitious, high-trust teams
