Shift patterns - Full time/Part time. Shift patterns - 15 hour shifts/Day shifts available and weekend work is a must for this role. 37.5 hours full time. For this service, driving is a requirement due to service user needs. Here at Lifeways in Portsmouth, we are looking for Support Workers to join our fantastic team. Ideally you will have previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant. If you are new to care but have a passion for helping others lead their most independent lives, then Lifeways can offer you excellent training and ongoing support to enable you to enjoy a rewarding career with us.
We currently have an exciting opportunity available at our service in Paulsgrove where you will join a small, but close-knit team of support workers. We are preferably looking for a female member to join our team, due to specific service user requirements. All applicants must be drivers. At this service, we currently support eight service users that live with learning disabilities. Some of the individuals have very limited communication so they would use boards to convey their thoughts.
Colleagues need to work with the people we support to complete all aspects of day-to-day support including personal care, support with cooking, cleaning tasks, support with medication and finances, supporting people into the community, providing emotional support, finding new activities and opportunities.
