Linux Administrator

Exciting opportunity for a Linux Administrator to join a growing business based near Abingdon, offering circa £40,000 plus excellent benefits (including hybrid working) and career development prospects.

The Role

As Linux Administrator, You\’ll Be Responsible For

• working closely with other Linux Administrators, providing support on the their applications/infrastructure
• responding promptly to tickets, troubleshooting and problem solving
• patch management, security hardening, optimisation
• utilising Ansible for automation
• monitoring systems, ensuring a proactive response to any issues
• ensuring compliance with cyber security standards, documentation etc.
• ad-hoc project based work

About You

Applicants for the Linux Administrator role will have:

• practical / working experience of Linux and administration fundamentals (installing, configuring, file/directory permissions etc.)
• networking experience / knowledge, as well as Active Directory skills
• preferably have experience of scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash, YAML)
• strong attention to detail (documentation, compliance etc.) coupled with a proactive approach
