Job Description

Client-side Senior Planner Opportunity

Senior Planner – South Manchester Area – Hybrid

Benefits: Competitive salary, pension contribution, discretionary bonuses and flexible working policy

This is a fantastic client-side opportunity with an attractive and well-established developer; the team is looking to hire a Senior Planner to join their Manchester team.

My client specialises in land promotion nationally with a focus on residential and mixed-use developments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and finalising reports to support planning applications, appeals, and policy presentations.
  • Preparing well-researched, professionally presented reports and representations to support site promotion and accompany planning application submissions.
  • Undertaking site visits and meetings with landowners, agents, and local authority officers.
  • Conducting research and analysis to develop strategies for site promotion, allocation, or planning applications.
  • Assisting Planning Directors, Planning Managers, and Senior Project Managers as needed, with additional involvement in broader planning matters as directed by senior colleagues.

Candidates will have:

  • Experience in Strategic Policy Planning (desirable but not essential)
  • 4+ years experience
  • Experience in managing workload and projects
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ambition to take on leadership responsibilities and progress
