Platform Development, Configuration and Documentation
- Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, including Custom Apps, Modules, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.
- Implement and maintain Workflows, Flow Designer flows, and Integration Hub spokes.
- Support custom integration development using REST, SOAP, MID Server, Kafka, etc.
- Translate architecture and design into working, optimized code aligned with platform best practices.
Performance Optimization
- Conduct profiling and debugging of scripts, workflows, and queries to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize GlideRecord usage, ACL performance, indexing, and background jobs.
- Collaborate with the architect to implement performance improvement recommendations.
Technical Debt & Code Quality
- Participate in identifying and addressing technical debt in existing modules and custom applications.
- Perform and respond to code reviews, refactor, and optimize logic where needed.
- Maintain clean, reusable, and modular code following defined standards and naming conventions.
Demo & Instance Readiness
- Prepare and validate instance readiness for feature demos and UATs (data prep, role mapping, test cases).
- Ensure the instance is clean, with demo-specific configurations and no test pollution.
Agile, Collaboration, and Demo Readiness
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in ceremonies.
- Collaborate closely with BAs, Product Owners, and Developers to ensure business alignment.
- Lead and support feature demos, ensuring environments are technically ready and performance tested.
- Define and manage release readiness criteria from a technical perspective.
- Support in bi-weekly feature releases for client.
Testing & Validation
- Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and support performance testing.
- Log and resolve bugs or inconsistencies raised during internal QA or performance analysis.
- Use tools like Instance Scan, Script Tracer, Debug Logs to troubleshoot issues.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow.
- Hands-on with ATF (Automated Test Framework) for regression and performance validation.
- Experience handling demo or UAT environments, including data masking or synthetic data creation.
- Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and confidently.
