I am very excited to be representing a National Drinks brand with a strong presence across both the On and Off trade. Their dynamic and innovative product range is taking the industry by storm, with an incredible investment achievement and listings across National retailers and pub groups. This role will head up the On Trade side of the business, working with NATIONAL operators such as Youngs and Fullers.
The ideal Head of On Trade will be experienced managing sales teams, driving new business in the National groups and working to grow the brand across a range of venues. The Head of On Trade will sit at a senior level in the business and have a pathway through to a director level role. The ideal candidate will need to come from a Drinks FMCG background, ideally across Beer or Spirits with a challenger brand mentality. You will be required to lead a team, drive growth of the brand and deliver on KPI’s - with 3 days per week in London.
Head of On Trade role includes:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our presence with national retail groups, on-trade accounts, and other key partners.
- Foster and grow relationships with major on-trade customers, including wholesalers, retailers, and hospitality groups.
- You will be directly responsible for National Pub groups.
- Collaborate with agency partners to ensure consistent growth and alignment with brand objectives across all channels.
- Drive brand visibility and market penetration through innovative sales initiatives and promotional strategies, ensuring our products stand out in a competitive market.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing direction and support to ensure targets are met.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, leveraging insights to shape our sales approach and capitalize on new opportunities.
The Ideal Head of On Trade Role:
- Proven experience in a senior sales role within the Drinks FMCG Sector, covering challenger brands or start-ups.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with a strong network in the on-trade market.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
- Passion for beer and the craft brewing industry is a plus!
