Your New Company
Hays Building Services are pleased to be assisting a leading consultancy in Cardiff with the recruitment of a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for leading small, medium and large-scale Healthcare and Higher Education projects primarily in the UK, which will include bidding work, client care, mentoring as well as leading project teams to prepare scheme and detailed engineering designs.
You will lead the mechanical team on a range of projects, produce all design information and ensure that all calculations are prepared and signed off in accordance with the requirements of the QA procedures, relevant Standards and Codes of Practice as well as ensure the design team is kept fully informed of all technical and other information necessary for the duration of the project.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
You will have a successful track record of mechanical building services design ideally in healthcare and/or the education sector, have previous experience working as either a Senior/Principal Engineer with a good understanding of software packages used to design mechanical building services systems.
What You’ll Get In Return
This role is offered with a salary between 55,000 – 60,000 per annum on a permanent contract.
