This role is key to ensuring technology is leveraged efficiently, scalably, and securely across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy & Architecture Planning
- Design and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint that aligns technology investments with business objectives.
- Act as the architectural thought leader, developing and championing technology strategies that enable agility, scalability, innovation, and operational efficiency.
- Define and communicate architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks across the organisation to solution design and technology decision-making.
- Lead the architectural planning for new systems, applications, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Identify future-state technology needs and plan for systems, integrations, and infrastructure to support business growth and transformation.
- Provide architectural oversight of Salesforce and its supporting ecosystem (e.g., integrations, middleware, third-party applications).
- Support the entire Salesforce ecosystem, including supporting applications, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and third-party integrations, ensuring a seamless and scalable architecture.
- Ensure Salesforce is integrated effectively with core systems and evolves to meet changing business requirements, enabling efficient workflows and unified data access.
- Define and lead the architectural strategy for all cloud-based platforms, with a particular focus on leveraging the full capabilities of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure AD, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps).
- Work with infrastructure and security teams to ensure scalability, availability, and governance of cloud environments.
- Ensure that cloud environments are scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-optimised, while supporting current and future business demands.
- Establish and maintain best-practice cloud architecture frameworks, including automation, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
- Design and implement a hybrid-cloud architecture that seamlessly integrates on-premise systems, cloud services, and SaaS platforms, ensuring operational continuity and flexibility.
- Promote and enforce interoperability, data integrity, and system performance across all cloud and SaaS environments, including identity management, access control, and API integration standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new Azure services and features to improve performance, reduce cost, and support innovation across business and technology functions.
- Lead the assessment, selection, and integration of SaaS platforms, ensuring all new technologies are architecturally sound, interoperable, and strategically aligned with business objectives.
- Establish a clear architectural framework for SaaS adoption, including platform evaluation criteria, security reviews, and data residency considerations.
- Design and maintain integration strategies and reference architectures that enable scalable, secure, and reliable data exchange between cloud, SaaS, and on-premise systems.
- Champion the use of modern integration tools and platforms such as APIs, web services, MuleSoft, and iPaaS solutions, ensuring consistent standards across the organisation.
- Ensure data flow, integrity, and governance across systems through scalable integration frameworks and tools (e.g., API, iPaaS, MuleSoft).
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data integrity, lineage, and consistency across all systems, while minimising redundancy and integration debt.
