Howdens Joinery are looking for a Service Transition Analyst to join our Service Design & Transition team. The Service Design and Transition Analyst ensures the seamless integration and transition of new or modified services into our operational environment, thereby maintaining service quality and continuity.

This is a permanent, part-time opportunity based from our office on Brackmills in Northampton or Raunds, Northamptonshire working onsite 2 days per week with 1 day working from home.

What will I be doing as a Service Transition Analyst?

  • Supporting the Service Design & Transition Manager to ensure that projects, new services, releases, and changes move smoothly from development into production.
  • Responsible for identifying, co-ordinating and managing service acceptance / service readiness activities to ensure that new & changed services are delivered to meet customer user requirements before going live.
  • Completing the necessary Service documentation required for new or changed services; and working with other areas of the IT teams to ensure that documentation produced is fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring that all the necessary teams required in transitioning and supporting the service are engaged and have the necessary Service documentation, skills and knowledge transferred prior to going live.

What do I need to qualify for this role?

  • Practical knowledge and experience of Service Transition / Service introduction and ideally some Service Design.
  • Process design, management, and documentation/authoring skills; with strong ability to chair, facilitate and lead meetings, workshops, and other such structured sessions.
  • ITIL awareness, preferably supported by ITIL certifications.
  • Preferably someone with a strong background in Service management roles, with solid understanding of service management frameworks and processes.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology.
  • Innovative and positive team player with excellent communication and service skills.
  • Confident in presenting technical issues and managing the demands of non-technical staff and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well both within a team and individually.
