If so, the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) has an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Directorate, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering products and services that meet the needs of our users.
As a Delivery Manager, you will provide day-to-day management of the Delivery Team(s), creating an environment that enables the team to deliver at pace in line with GDS and NHSBSA standards. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Lead Delivery Manager to guide the team, track progress, and remove blockers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating efficient, self-organising teams and building effective working relationships across customers and stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
As an experienced Agile Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the effective, cross-functional delivery of products using agile techniques. You will manage multidisciplinary Delivery team(s) to achieve planned outcomes, empower the team to self-organise effectively, integrate efficiently with other delivery teams, and be accountable for governance within the team.
You will set a good, sustainable delivery pace, resolve conflict and encourage collaboration, apply good agile delivery practice to plan, track progress and manage blockers and resources, and lead on financial management, scope management and stakeholder management.

Job responsibilities
- Provide leadership of multidisciplinary scrum team/s
- Delivery of products in-line with project and sprint goals
- Developing and maintaining motivated and self-organising teams
- Delivery team inductions and kick-off
- Facilitation of Ceremonies: daily stand-up, retrospective, sprint review, sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Identify blockers and help the team overcome them
- Management of Delivery Team worries/concerns and escalation, if appropriate
- Ensuring budget is in place and on track
- Tracking and reporting of progress
- On-going review of resource requirements
- Developing a proactive relationship with line manager and Programme Manager
- Participation in Delivery Manager Community and sharing of learning
- On-going learning, personal and professional development and the development of the Portfolio function as a whole
