Role responsibilities
- The Recruitment Advisor will be responsible for the delivery of operational recruitment and selection activities to enable Transport for Wales (TfW) to have the appropriate people resource to deliver its objectives.
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including attraction, shortlisting and interviewing of candidates by providing interview panels with the appropriate advice and conducting interviews to ensure TfW have a fair and effective recruitment process.
- Proactively deliver recruitment of open vacancies, including senior and specialist roles, by sourcing candidates using various platforms and creative solutions to ensure TfW can recruit specialist roles and undertake positive action.
- Provide recruitment governance by working closely with, challenging, and advising Hiring Managers to create Job Descriptions (JD) and deliver additional documentation which provides an effective audit trail.
- Facilitate and support TfW's job evaluation process by providing advice and guidance to Hiring Managers when JD writing and hosting various job evaluation sessions to ensure accurate job levelling and an effective pay and performance model.
Who we're looking for
- Demonstrable experience of delivering end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Experience of proactively resourcing or headhunting specialist roles.
- Experience of using an Applicant Tracking System.
- Ability to write compelling and accurate job descriptions.
- Experience of making improvements to recruitment processes.
- Experience of challenging decision makers and Hiring Managers on recruitment decisions.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role. Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
