Here at Americold Barcelona, we are now recruiting for a Senior IT Security Engineer. The Senior IT Security Engineer will design, configure, optimize existing, and deploy new security systems/solutions aligned with global business risk/objectives. This role focuses on technical operations and support of various information security tools including event/incident management (SIEM), cloud security, endpoint detection and response, email security, and vulnerability management. The position involves supporting the Director of IT Security in reviewing and evaluating new, cost-effective security solutions and partnering with compliance teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with teams such as Infrastructure, End User Computing, and the PMO to optimize existing security services and deploy new tools supporting the security roadmap.
  • Interact effectively with internal teams, peers, and management.
  • Support the information security manager by creating monthly security metrics for supported products.
  • Deploy new security tools, services, processes, and procedures as per the security roadmap.
  • Support security services including SIEM, MDR, endpoint technology, secure email gateways, cloud security, certificate management, network security, and vulnerability management.
  • Respond promptly to critical incidents in collaboration with security operations, legal, compliance, and incident response teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in information security and IT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry certifications preferred: CISSP, CompTIA+, CEH, SSCP, Security+.
  • Solid understanding of IT and security practices, including host security, architecture, network perimeter security, intrusion detection/prevention, application security, physical security, systems integrity, and continuity planning.
  • Experience with security policies, standards development, implementation, and review.
  • Experience with technologies such as Unix, Windows, Linux, TCP/IP, storage and network devices, firewalls, intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability testing, OS hardening, compliance, and data classification.
  • Experience with IAM, SIEM, Log Management, Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, eDiscovery, Cloud Security, Virtual Machines, Wireless and Mobile Security, and Industrial Controls/OT.
