An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our clients growing legal practice. A well-established firm of solicitors with a reputation of integrity, professionalism, and quality of service, at the heart of their community who recognise that people are their greatest asset, and strive continuously to develop staff and support their career progression.
The successful applicant would be expected to manage their own caseload, including some complex and sensitive matters, in a warm and confident manner and will be required to attend Police Stations and Magistrates court to represent clients. You will work closely with the Director to grow and further develop the Criminal Defence team and will be supported by a team of Caseworkers and Paralegals.
Skills and Experience- At least 1 years PQE in criminal law.
- Must hold Duty Solicitor status.
- Must hold Police Station Accreditation or be willing to work towards achieving it.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong client relationships and to be able to empathise with clients at all levels.
- Self-motivated and commercially minded, with a drive to generate new work.
- Motivation to learn and self-develop.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and Case Management Systems.
