Salary - £24,750 per annum with fixed annual increases (plus Car Allowance Scheme / Company Car)

Hours - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Location - Fully remote with frequent travel required (West Midlands base preferred)

As a Land & Property Management Degree Apprentice at FCC Environment, you will support our Estates Department while gaining experience in key operational and support functions across the business. You will work under the guidance of our experienced property professionals and take on responsibilities relating to estate management, land ownership investigations, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance.

This vacancy is for a full-time position. As the role includes participation in a degree programme, study time will be supported in line with the course structure.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist the Land & Property Manager and Land & Property Surveyor in managing company property assets
  • Conduct rent and royalty reviews and manage rental payments
  • Maintain estate management records and databases
  • Investigate land ownership and carry out site appraisals
  • Liaise with stakeholders including landowners, solicitors, and colleagues
  • Visit sites, inspect properties, and ensure lease and licence compliance
  • Gain exposure to functions such as Finance, H&S, Legal, HR, and Procurement
  • Learn about the UK waste business and project management
  • Participate in quarterly performance and progress reviews

Entry Requirements & Training:

  • Opportunities are available for both Level 6 (BSc in Real Estate) and Level 7 (MProf in Property Management Chartered Surveyor) apprenticeships, with the route determined by your qualifications and experience.
  • Undergraduate applicants are preferred, particularly those holding or predicted to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree, which is required for the Level 7 programme.
  • Average completion time: typically, 2.5 years
  • Block release teaching frequency depends on course modules
  • Full student support provided throughout the programme
  • End Point Assessment (EPA) is mandatory. Opting out of the EPA will result in withdrawal of your employment contract, in line with FCC's policy on degree apprenticeships.
